In less than two weeks time, exam will start. Today big ray organized a pre-mugging-for-exam outing. The turn up rate is not very good though, people get caught up in last minute stuff, be it meeting with 'CEO', busy with projects or celebrate birthdays with other friends. (hmpf, apparently the other group is more attracting with the number of gals present. Ya ya... I know, the quality there is better also lah... nothing lah, never said I m attractive mah... chey... =p)
After idling around engine for a long while we finally decided to go millennium walk. Brain was driving a pick up and I got to sit in front! But qh, big ray and guofeng dumped their bags and laptops with me. By the time we reached, my feet were numb already. After walking to and fro for several times, finally decided dinner would be at moonfish, or the formal spageddies, coz it is having 50% off promotion for UOB credit and debit card users. Always thought moonfish is a strange name. checked online dictionary, the definition is as follows:
any of several silvery marine fishes with very flat bodies, or, large elliptical brightly colored deep-sea fish of Atlantic and Pacific and Mediterranean. And it looks like this:
it reminds me of many years ago when we just started learning English, one of my friends translated the moonlight into the word 月亮灯. We had a good laugh then but it’s actually quite cute and innovative. 月亮在天上,就像一盏明亮的灯. My friend promised he would make me one such light. I never got my present, but the word remained in my mind till now. So when I first saw the name moonfish I got a very romantic picture of it. Silvery small fish swimming in the bright moonriver in the sky. 大熊星 and 小熊星 (Ursa Major, Ursa Minor) catch those fish in the river, like the story I read when I was a little kid. (posted in the next post.) never did I suspect that moonfish got its name because its shape looks like a full moon... diao... ^^!
ok back to dinner. Ate mushroom soup for starter, main course is tenderloin steak and crayfish on a bed of spaghetti aglio olio. Followed by a cup of hot tea with a slice of tiramisu for desert. The soup is very good and the main course also nice. The tea is very fragrant but tiramisu a bit disappointing. Overall, the dinner is really not bad, especially for only half the usual price. Heehee. Hmm and apparently today I was the one who ate fastest...
Hmm today I was criticized that I m not demure, not cute, and not 随和, which means that I am not likable. Well… if my temper is affecting friends around me, then probably I should refrain it. (not that I don't consider other people's feeling, but when I get emotional, I just can't think logically. It boils down to still need to have more self control.) but if saying should change myself to become more popular, never in my life I considered it necessary. I always think that if a person would like me, just like me for who I am, no point changing myself just to suit another person's preference.
Brian and big ray were saying that my future boyfriend will get hell, coz I m fierce and hard to please. But guofeng thinks that when I really like someone I will be opposite of now, as in will be agreeable to him, not doing things he doesn't like blah blah... well, I think it depends on how much I like the person and depends on which stage the relationship is at. Maybe it's partly true. But some fundamental things will not change, esp in the long run. It's actually quite interesting coz I do see some of my girl friends who have a lot of character fell for control freak guys and willingly change their lifestyle for them. An ideal relationship, I feel, should be never expecting the other person to change but take the initiative to adjust own lifestyle to suit the other person. Haha... but I m no love saint, I believe as time goes, I will just go back to being myself more or less.

Well let me end it with the joke of the day: As we launched into our favourite post dinner activity-chit chat, somebody suddenly mentioned charlie's angels. And big ray asked who is charlie's angels' boss ah? After a while he realized himself that it is Charlie! So did u get it correct?
